Walk across the Millennium Bridge

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Princes opens with the iconic and dramatic scene of London’s Millennium Bridge collapsing at the hands of the death eaters. It’s of course still intact today, and the perfect place for a stroll and to snap a selfie, just a short tube or bus ride from our hotel in London. While you’re there, head over to Tower Bridge, where in Harry Potter and The Order of the Phoenix, Harry flies along the Thames and over the bridge on his broomstick.

Stroll down Diagon Alley

So, it’s not quite Diagon Alley, but Leadenhall Market is a pretty close second. It’s here that scenes were filmed for Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, of Harry’s first trip to pick up Hogwarts supplies, from this iconic wizarding world street. Those in the know will look out for the blue door of the opticians in Bull’s Head Passage, which was used as the entrance to The Leaky Cauldron. Leadenhall Market is a must visit for any Potter fan, and is easy to get to from our budget hotel in London.
